2008 First Tee Program For "The Parks" at Genesee Valley Golf Course When asked what did you learn today ?
" You don't have to be the best you" We are pleased and proud to present.. The First Tee of Rochester, NY! All of our 2008 programming will include the nine core values of The First Tee ~ Honesty, Integrity, Sportsmanship, Respect, Confidence, Responsibility, Perseverance, Courtesy and Judgment. Our mission is to bring the sport of golf to children, particularly those that do not have access to the game. Providing access to instruction, courses and equipment for kids is not merely designed to further golf as a sport, it will positively impact the lives of children who need an outlet to help build self-esteem, personal responsibility and character. The First Tee Life Skills Experience is the unique feature that separates The First Tee from many other youth initiatives and junior golf programs. Through this experience, participants learn valuable lessons such as: the importance of maintaining a positive attitude; how to make decisions by thinking about the possible consequences; how to define and set goals; and how to transfer the positive values of golf to everyday life.
